ABUJA - During a courtesy visit by a coalition of youth organizations to his Abuja office, Dr. Samuel Udo Atang, the Pioneer Head of Service, Federal Capital Territory Administration, highlighted President Bola Tinubu's commitment to the 30 percent affirmative action for youth inclusion in governance.

Atang expressed delight at the gathering of youths for productive purposes, emphasizing its alignment with the President's Renewed Hope Agenda.

He commended FCT Minister Nyesom Wike for implementing well-articulated youth programs in the FCT, emphasizing the Minister's commitment to youth empowerment.

Atang lauded the Minister's directive to contractors to prioritize youth employment in communities where projects are located, ensuring that local youths benefit from economic opportunities.

Atang praised the entrepreneurial and innovative spirit displayed by Nigerian youths across various sectors globally, commending their steadfast support for successive FCT Administrations. He thanked the youth leaders for their ongoing support and advocacy for the FCT.

Youth leaders, in turn, praised President Bola Tinubu for Wike's appointment and applauded the Minister for initiating transformative changes within a short period.

They pledged continued support for the FCT Administration and advocated for greater youth representation in governance. Additionally, they requested the appointment of a youth aide to the Minister to ensure effective communication and understanding of youth concerns.

President-General of the Abuja Residents Youth Association, Com. Akoshile Mukhtar, reiterated the youths' loyalty to the FCT Administration and urged the Minister to maintain regular engagement with youths through town hall meetings and other platforms.
